I like to say that my dad taught me the value of hard work and my mom the value of honesty. I will forever be indebted to both of them.
I grew up and graduated from high school in Atlanta, Ga. Afterwards, I attended the U.S. Air Force Academy and then served as a pilot in the Air Force, including service in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Desert Storm was an incredible opportunity to see the true might of our combined military and allied fighting forces and exactly what good, old fashioned American "can do" attitude can accomplish when needed.
While teaching airmanship at the U.S. Air Force Academy after Desert Storm, I met my wife on a blind date. She introduced me to Idaho shortly thereafter, during Thanksgiving 1991. I'll never forget our first drive up Highway 55 to McCall. I loved it then and I still love it - and her.
As a longtime commercial pilot, I've have decades of experience in accurately evaluating a challenging environment, determining the best options, working professionally with diverse crew members, and, most importantly, getting my valued passengers to the important things in their lives safely and efficiently. These are invaluable skills that can be applied to a wide range of challenges.
I've also served as a Boy Scout leader(both of my two sons are Eagle Scouts), homeowner’s association president, chairman of a church preschool, and on the board of the Good Samaritan Home here in Boise.
My wife is 3rd generation Idahoan, and I have two fabulous sons. The youngest recently graduated from Timberline High School. I feel blessed to have found the greatest place on earth to live and call home.
